The modular design of the easy-to-use LIBSlab (LIBS laboratory) measuring system allows the flexible combination of sample chamber, spectrometer, laser, PC and software as an individual user solution for a wide range of analyses using laser-induced plasma spectroscopy (LIBS).
The LIBSpector is a versatile sample chamber for spatially resolved LIBS measurements of solid, liquid and gaseous materials with real-time monitoring and a motorized, joystick-controlled XYZ sample stage. The closed laser safety class 1 housing with laser safety observation window, door interlock and integrated extraction connection enables safe LIBS measurements at the installation site without additional laser safety measures. Thanks to an optimized optical setup in the µ-LIBSpector model for the µ-LIBSlab, the LIBS laser light spot on the sample surface is reduced many times over.
The compact, high-resolution echelle spectrometers of the ARYELLE or DEMON series with high spectral sensitivity and excellent imaging quality are available, which can be combined with a CCD, EMCCD, ICCD or CMOS detector, depending on the application. The spectrometer is connected to the LIBSpector via optical fiber and enables simultaneous measurement of the LIBS emission spectrum from the UV to the NIR range.
Various Nd:YAG and excimer lasers with different wavelengths and pulse energies can be used to generate the LIBS plasma. Depending on the size, the laser head can be integrated into the laser class 1 housing of the LIBSpector.
Sophi is a convenient control and analysis software, with which all functions of the spectrometer-detector unit, the LIBSpector and the laser can be controlled via a laptop or PC. The integrated Pascal scripting language enables automated qualitative and quantitative LIBS measurements and analyses.
