Super DEMON: New High-Resolution Double-Echelle Monochromator Model
LTB Lasertechnik Berlin expands the application range of the DEMON spectrometer for characterizing industrial diode lasers. The patented optical design of the new Super DEMON , featuring a pre-monochromator and an echelle grating, enables a spectral resolution of 200,000 (2 pm @ 400 nm).
With the improved resolution of the DEMON series, measurements of isotope shifts for additional elements, such as plutonium, can now be performed using LIBS. The standard DEMON spectrometer has already successfully determined the isotope shift of uranium with LIBS.
The fiber-coupled, easy-to-use Super DEMON spectrometer has already proven its performance in research & development, production control, and quality assurance. Compared to interferometric setups, the Super DEMON enables simultaneous capture of spectral bandwidth, intensity profile, and absolute wavelength.

With its unparalleled high light throughput, the application range of the DEMON monochromator has been expanded—from weak light to ultrashort pulses. The simultaneous wavelength detection can be used for determining various “side modes” and energy distributions. Thanks to its stable optical design, the Super DEMON is ideal for long-term measurements of wavelength stability.
