We are now 33 years, 7 months and 15 days
On Monday we celebrated LTB’s birthday; we turned 33 years, 7 months and 15 days old. Although the number may seem unusual at first glance, it has great significance for us. In all these years we have dedicated ourselves to the production and development of nitrogen lasers emitting at a wavelength of 337.15nm. Over the years, we have supplied over 20,000 lasers all over the world, from the far north to Super-Kamiokande in Japan to the IceCube Neutrino Observatory at the South Pole.
So we enjoyed the first meeting of the year with a look back at our company history, reviewing key moments such as the launch of the ELIAS system for lithography and the start of spectrometer production for LIBS some 20 years ago. Today’s highlight, besides the delicious food, was definitely the unveiling of our very own Buddy Bear. As a sign of our connection to Berlin, we are proud to now own one of these well-known symbols of Berlin. We are currently still looking for a name, but will certainly be able to announce it soon. We are grateful for the great work of Berlin artist Sylvia Zeeck
