The conference season starts with the “Chinese Symposium on LIBS”

The coronavirus has, like in most areas, significantly disrupted the conference and trade fair calendar. After a widespread cancellation of events in the first half of the year, the second half successfully kicked off with the 1st IOMLIBS as an online conference.

After the summer break, the annual planner starts to fill up again, and we begin with the CSLIBS (Chinese Symposium on LIBS) on August 28. Our colleagues from LTB China will participate in the online event and be available for questions and discussions.

In September, the 11th International LIBS Conference in Japan will take place. This will also be held as a web conference for the first time, and we are already looking forward to the numerous presentations on the latest developments in the scientific community. Our colleague Dr. Pfeifer will present on the combined application of LIBS and RAMAN in the field of forensics.

Under the motto “Science must go on,” the annual conference for analytical chemistry and spectroscopy, “SciX” in the USA, will be held online from October 11-16.

With a stricter protection and hygiene concept in place, the trade fair for laboratory technology, analytics, and biotechnology, “Analytica,” will still take place as an in-person event in Munich from October 19-22. Despite these exceptional circumstances, we will be happy to welcome you at our booth 524 in Hall A1 – of course, with the necessary distancing. Already purchased tickets remain valid.
