Start of an expansion building at the company headquarters

In February 2017, LTB Holding GmbH began construction of an expansion building to complement its production and administration building, completed in 2013. This expansion addresses the need for increased capacity due to the positive development of its two subsidiaries, LTB Lasertechnik Berlin GmbH and Lufttechnik Schmeißer GmbH. The new building, with approximately 1,500 m² of floor space, is scheduled for completion in November 2017.

Thanks to the improved resolution of the DEMON series, measurements of isotope shifts for additional elements, such as plutonium, can now be conducted using LIBS. The standard DEMON spectrometer has already successfully determined the isotope shift of uranium using LIBS.

The fiber-coupled, user-friendly Super DEMON spectrometer has already demonstrated its performance in research & development, production control, and quality assurance. Compared to interferometric setups, the Super DEMON enables simultaneous capture of spectral bandwidth, intensity profile, and absolute wavelength.
