Obituary for Dr. Stephan Mory

With great sadness, we have learned of the death of our founding partner, Dr. Stephan Mory. He passed away on April 13, 2020. Dr. Mory was a graduate physicist and worked as a scientific associate at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR from 1974 to 1991. In 1990, he was one of the co-founders of LTB Lasertechnik Berlin GmbH. Since the reunification, he was an active member of the SPD and, until 1994, a member of the Berlin House of Representatives in the field of economics. In 1995, Dr. Mory joined Wista Management GmbH. At LTB, alongside his social commitments, he was able to contribute his knowledge in the field of dye lasers. One of his special interests was to bring an internship system for lasers and dye lasers into schools and universities to spark the interest of young people in laser technology. He was very popular at LTB due to his cheerful and communicative nature. In 2008, he resigned as a partner at LTB.
